Forest Whitaker Coming To UgandaMarch 11, 2019
Multiple award-winning Hollywood actor, Forest Whitaker has through his Twitter account announced on Monday morning that he is on his way to Uganda. “The last king of Scotland” actor also shared that he is very saddened by the news of the Ethiopian airlines crash.
Heading to #Uganda, very saddened by the news of the Ethiopian airlines plane crash - my thoughts are for the victims, their close ones and to the UN family.
The first time Forest Whitaker visited Uganda was over 13 years ago while filming the movie “The last king of Scotland” where he played former Uganda President, Idi Amin Dada with a bunch of Ugandan actors and actresses making it to the casts’ list. He has since been a frequent visitor on different projects
The movie went ahead to win a total of 17 awards including a BET, Golden Globe and Academy award all for best actor.
The details on why he is visiting is yet to be disclosed.
